I’m not your typical travel agent.
Most travel advisor “About Me” pages are full of stock beach photos and promises to “find you the best deals.” That’s not really what I’m doing here. Every photo you see on this page was actually taken during our own vacations—either on my phone or purchased from photographers we met along the way. This site is built on real travel experiences, not stock images and marketing slogans.
My name is William, and I started Travel x Design because I believe travel should be an intentional experience, not a transaction. For years, I traveled the world as a self-planner—scouring blogs, booking my own flights, and designing my own itineraries. I did it because I didn’t trust the industry. I had seen the “pushy” agents, the influencers chasing views, and the MLMs (Multi-Level Marketing companies) that felt more like a sales trap than a service.
The “Why” Behind the Design
I don’t do this for the “bread and butter.” This isn’t my primary income, which gives me a superpower most agents don’t have: The ability to say no.
If a trip isn’t worth your money, I’ll tell you. If a resort is all “hype” and no substance, I’ll find you a better alternative. My background isn’t in sales; it’s in the genuine pursuit of a well-designed life. I care about the lighting in a hotel lobby, the authenticity of a local tour, and the logistical flow of a journey.
My Promise to You
I’m a researcher by nature and a traveler by heart. I’m not here to “sell” you a vacation; I’m here to help you design one.

- I believe transparency is essential when it comes to planning and purchasing travel. After evaluating how I wanted to build my travel business and serve my clients, I made the decision to operate independently rather than through a host agency. This change allows me to have greater control over how I operate my business, the resources I use, and the travel experiences I recommend. More importantly, it allows me to continue building my business around what matters most to me: providing honest, thoughtful, and value-focused travel guidance without high-pressure sales tactics. My goal has never been to simply sell a trip. I want to help you understand your options, know what you’re paying for, and make decisions that genuinely make sense for you and your travel style. If you have worked with me previously, this change does not change my commitment to providing personalized service. It simply represents the next step in building My Travel X Design independently and on my own terms. I believe you deserve to know who you are working with, how my business operates, and what you can expect from me. That’s why I’m choosing to be upfront about this change rather than leave any questions unanswered.
